Traveling Sabbatical Staff Program
Organization Description:
Safe Harbor is a residential, academic and vocational facility serving troubled boys ages 14 – 17. Located on the St. Johns River Safe Harbor utilizes the waterfront and vessels as the foundation of the academic and vocational program. The mission of Safe Harbor is to effect positive and permanent change in the lives of hurting boys by helping them become men of integrity, character and vision.
General Position Description:
Live on-campus as house parents and staff. Share knowledge and skills with residents. This can include academic tutoring and or vocational and marine related skills. Be positive role models and a stable influence to residents.
Qualifications:
● 1 year commitment
● Christian Faith (while Safe Harbor accepts children of all faiths our program is
founded and guided by Christian beliefs. Bible study and the lessons taught
by the Bible are part of our curriculum.)
● Good moral character
● Pass a criminal background check
● Good Health
● Able to deal with the activities and challenges of adolescent boys.
